Sunday Morning e-Lottery Blues

It’s a Sunday morning, among the relaxation of the day and picking up a few bits and pieces, I'll normally sit down for a few minutes and check those illustrious lotto numbers, often hoping to win which to my thinking is part of the expectation and fun.

Adopting a routine for this in my case looks after itself as mentioned earlier. My lottery tickets are usually purchased at the same lottery terminal in Tesco Extra usually with a few scratch cards which are often themed. One of my earlier articles referred to the James Bond blockbuster Quantum of Solace which the National UK Lottery had begun to promote.

As far as choosing methods to help you remember when to examine those lucky numbers here are a few well trusted tips which most of my friends use:

Firstly, the routine is important, buying the lottery ticket from the same place, choosing the same numbers and checking everything at the same time each week. This may sound silly but it does work as several of my friends who have been lucky enough to win have discovered. On one occasion it meant picking up approximately 5000 Euro just before jumping on to a flight for a two week holiday, I hasten to add the trip became unbelievable as most of the winnings were enjoyed in the bars and clubs of Alcudia, Spain. This was just as well as the winnings came from the now very well established Euro Millions lottery drawn every Friday evening.

Secondly, those of you are computer literate can play the games on line as well as participate in many of the e-lottery syndicates now coming in to the arena. This does everything automatically for you and deposits your winnings in to an individual e-wallet from which you can withdraw funds. I love this method as it solves many of the issues about checking your numbers and I use this religiously for my lottery syndicate entries.

Thirdly, the television spectacle for live draws has to be possibly one of the most exciting of all. Normally supported by entertainment from a pop artist like Leona Lewis or the recent X factor winner Alexandra Burke, makes the whole thing very enjoyable and great to watch. With such technology as Sky Plus and Virgin Media's V box you can record these events and watch them at a time when convenient to yourself. Sometimes I have done this if I know I'm going to be away travelling. However, I can still login in to my e-lottery syndicate account and check them on line as well. I suppose it depends which mood I'm in and what my expectancy feel might be at that time.

Above all, Sunday mornings and my lottery tickets now seem much more desirable.
